Course Objectives
To provide the student with the basic structure, classification, proliferation and pathogenicity properties of microorganisms; the basic characteristics of human microbiota and oral microbiota; important bacteria, viruses and fungi in terms of oral-dental health; the transmission and protection principles of infections; basic immune response; the theoretical principles of microbiological diagnostic approaches and antimicrobial treatment; the basic concepts of sterilization, disinfection, antisepsis and dental clinical infection control.

Academic Integrity and Artificial Intelligence
Violations of academic integrity include—but are not limited to—cheating or attempting to cheat, plagiarism, fabricating information or citations, facilitating dishonest acts committed by others, obtaining exams without authorization, using previously submitted work without informing the instructor, and altering the academic work of other students. Any violation of academic integrity constitutes a serious academic offense and entails consequences under the university's disciplinary regulations.
