Course Contents

The aim of this course is to introduce students to fundamental economic concepts and analytical tools; to explain how individuals, firms, and markets make decisions under conditions of scarcity; and to develop students’ ability to interpret economic phenomena within the framework of supply-demand mechanisms, market equilibrium, and basic economic policy instruments.

There are no prerequisites for this course.

Academic integrity is a fundamental principle of this course. Students are expected to produce their own work in all assessments (exams, assignments, projects, etc.). Plagiarism, cheating, unauthorized collaboration, and misrepresentation are considered violations of academic ethics and will be subject to disciplinary procedures.The use of artificial intelligence tools (e.g., text-generation systems) is permitted only when explicitly authorized by the instructor and within specified limits. When such tools are used, students must clearly disclose how and to what extent AI has contributed to their work. The use of AI as a substitute for a student’s own work constitutes a violation of academic integrity.
